Pedestrian and Bicycle Footbridge in Warsaw
Project name: Pedestrian and bicycle footbridge
Location: Warsaw, Poland
Structure tonnage: 1,430 tonnes

Delivery of 1,430 tonnes of steel constructions for the construction of the pedestrian and bicycle footbridge over the Vistula River in Warsaw.

The footbridge is nearly 453 metres long, making it the longest structure of its kind in Poland and the second longest ‎in Europe.

The entire bridge is built of steel protected with anticorrosion ‎coatings imitating corten steel. The surface is finished with a layer of ‎methacrylate resin. The material is resistant to high humidity levels. The cost of the investment ‎amounted to PLN 120 million.

Long awaited by residents, the footbridge improves movement across the Vistula – ‎for both cyclists and pedestrians. Thanks to this structure, cyclists can cross the river in ‎‎2 minutes and pedestrians in 6, avoiding the need to use a road bridge with ‎vehicular traffic.‎
